OTD: Peggy Cummins - Actor (1925 - 2017)
Peggy Cummins was born Augusta Margaret Diane Fuller to Irish parents in Wales on December 18th, 1925. She was raised in Killiney on the south side of Dublin. Her mother, Margaret Cummins was an accomplished actor. Peggy got her start in Dublin's Gate Theatre and by her teenage years she was appearing in both films in England and on the London stage.

In 1945, Cummins moved to Hollywood at the invitation of Darryl F. Zanuck. She's likely best known for her role in the 1950 Gun Crazy, a film which presages the 1967 blockbuster Bonnie and Clyde.
Cummins returned to Britain in the 1950 where she married Derek Dunnett. She continued to work in film and made a handful of television appearances before concluding her acting career in the 1960s.
She died in London on December 29th, 2017 at the age of 92
